What is Project Varuna ?

Welcome to Project Varuna, an innovative ecosystem grounded in my research on Koopman Operator Theory.

My mission with Project Varuna is to develop a versatile platform for the data-driven modeling and control of autonomous vehicles across various scales and operating conditions, whether on-road or off-road.

But why Project "Varuna", and what sets it apart in the well-established field of autonomous Unmanned Ground Vehicles (UGVs)? Click "Discover More" to find out!

Don't forget to check out my research publications and visit the Project Varuna YouTube channel for demonstrations, tutorials, and deployment videos.

Impact

State-of-the-Art Research Tool

This ecosystem is built on our latest research and contributions in the field of robotics/control theory offering cutting edge tools for data-driven modeling and controls.

Tailored for UGVs

Our bespoke models are designed specifically with the Ackermann steered vehicles in mind.

Our framework is targeted towards tackling on-road/off-road autonomy challenges whilst mitigating Sim2Real gap and dynamic uncertainties.

All-terrain Path Tracking Capabilities

Open-Source Package

The entire pipeline is embedded into an open source python package allowing for translation of simple pose and attitude data into an  end-to-end  modeling and controls solution.
